HELP!no first and second gear
we have a 1995 chevy z24 cavalier,,,it had a complete clutch put in it last year,,,it is a 5 speed,,,as of recently we cannot get it to go into first and second gear! please help us,,any advice greatly appreciated!

can you put it to any other gears?
like third are forth you mite have bought a bad clutch.

If you go with the cheaper clutch you lose out in the long run I had did the same thing with my mazda it went out 13 months later

Has the car been beat? (Shifted hard/missed shifts, etc.)? If so-you may have damaged the dogs on those gears so they won't engage. The only cure then is replacement of those particular gears.

If it would go into third and fourth, then try checking all the linkage and making sure it si connected correctly? Keep It Simple Silly
