Addison, TX gettin 2004 Durango's

Today at work we got in 10 of the 20 Durango’s that Addison, TX PD is getting in a few weeks. They have the 5.7 Hemi, no 4x4 models and no mods to go fast. Same thing you can get off the show room floor.

Re: Addison, TX gettin 2004 Durango's

Why buy a 2x4 when you can get a whole lotta hurtin' done with a 4x4?....Why does the PD do that?

I have a '77 trailduster that's 2wd with a 360PI motor and a 3.91 sure grip with both front and rear 1 1/2" sway bars. It was a VA police K9 truck. Wicked, but really rusty now. Kinda like a little red express, with a cap!

If it's all city, what the hell are they doing buying SUV's for their police force? Does that make any kind of sense at all?

That's Texas for ya! To show off that Texas loves to drive big things. I even started to see Police trucks everywhere in the Dallas Fort Worth area as well! Addison and Coppell are the two ritzy areas that I know of that uses SUV police vehicles exclusively.

Re: Addison, TX gettin 2004 Durango's

We have one town in Vorthern Virginia that uses Volvo's for police cars. Talk about whacky....
