Power Locks

I have an 88 Fullsize and the passenger side power lock went out. I have looked in a few books and cant seem to figure out how the actuator is removed. Any suggestions?

Re: Power Locks

I just removed mine in my 93 bronco. There was a rivet going through the door to a bracket that "cracled" the actuator, which in turn had a rod going into the lock asy. The actuator pivots out since the rivet broke. The new lock doesn't allow the bracket to pull from the assembly, so you will have to drill out the rivet to replace the unit if it is bad. The new motor is 85 bucks, but it includes the new boot.
