1989 Century - SES Problems

Hey guys, this problem just began for me 2 weeks ago. My car started jolting when I was accelerating slowly and when braking, the car sputters out. I replaced the MAS sensor, which took care of most of the problems but then this occurred, basically when i'm at a red light, or waiting for a left turn, and especially if i'm waiting, and using the defogger, (which uses up a lot of battery) the engine from time to time, would turn off. Also when driving, the Service Engine Soon light comes on and goes off, but in the meanwhile when it is on, when I accelerate, there are sharp jolts, as well as when i release the gas pedal, the car slows down in like a "shruggish" interval. I can't think of any better way to explain it.

Try and get the service codes of the vehicle by jumping the terminals A&B of the ALDL connector. The code will lead you to the problem area. I'd also check the charging system of the vehicle and also try cleaning the throtle body.
Good Luck.
