Question Starter keeps burning up

Engine starts, and starter burns up within 10 seconds. HELP!!!!!

i burned two starters because the wires werent tight enough

hmmmm

you probably bypassed the selenoid on your starter. if you do this then the starter will not disengage the flywheel/driveplate and it will stay on while you drive your car and it will turn at insain rpms...eventually it will blow out. you need to connect both of the wires to the large stud farthest to the outside of the starter... otherwise you are, in fact, bypassing the selenoid.
