Fuel pump won't run after engine change.

I changed the entire engine with trans assembly out on my 2000 Nubria, for a 40k mile 2001 V_TEC exaclythe same. Only pulled harness with fuel rail attached and injectors..Radiator, axle shafts, and such that was necessay. Put the new engine in hooked-up everything except fuel rail and gas lines...when a rain shower came along... hooked up battery to put up windows...turned on key..windows went up..and turned off key. Finished hookup of everything...but no fuel pump humming now when key is turned on. No fuel came out when we put up the windows while key was on. Checked fuel safety switch at drivers seat. it is down in normal position. Car cranks , idiot lights come on, but can't find what is interupting it from running. I Know it was fine before I pulled the engine, I had bumped the engine over to look at piston tops with my bore scope...and heard the pump humm each time. Anyone know what it could be?
