VR4 FIPK intake in a stock 94' 3000GT

i just got finished putting a VR4 FIPK (Filtercharge injection performance kit) in stock 3000GT.It sounds and looks pretty cool.I also took the resonator out of the stock intake tubing and pluged the hole back up.The resault was noticeable the more air going to the engine was doin good. The intake sound was a little more louder than stock but nothing to bad.A little hissing won't hurt. The resonator is only there to restrict the sound levels in the intake tube by,bouncing a pulse of air back into the intake path to restrict the sound levels.I read this in a magazine but i don't know where i read it.I just remember what i read. The car has better faster response and accelerates faster.Has anyone else done this to there car or something simular.

Yeah, in any car that you want to sound better, the resonator is good to remove because it doesn't affect horsepower at all, but you get a louder sound. My friend did it to his little neon and it sounds a lot better now.
