Cool

This marvelous monster has a 6.0 liter W12 engine that produces 420bhp. 0-60 time of less than 5.8 seconds

Also, I really like the design. It's not shiny, but is very well-proportioned, very nice.

The car is sweet, but I like the new design even more. However, since Ronin I have wanted an S8. I realize the movie can often make the car look better than it is, it is not true in this case. Awsome car- and a good value used too because no one buys them!

I like the overall car, but I just don't have a taste for the German deep-dish wheels. I'd have to find replacements... I think it'd be worth the trouble.

I first drove an A8 in 1997 and I fell in love. I drove an A8L (4.2L, not W12) last year, and was not as impressed. It's soft and the styling is not as nice in person as it is in the posted pictures. The extra length added to the rear doors makes it look sort of awkward...it doesn't flow as smoothly as the standard-wheelbase model.

The S8, on the other hand, is one of the most spectacular sedans I've ever driven (it ranks in the top two or three).

Yeah , my lawyer drives a regular A8 4.2 , and i really feel it's a lot softer then my S8 , when it comes to straight line performance the difference isn't so big , anyway i don't like the seats in regular A8s much , i prefer my recaros... (S8 has recaro sport seats stock)

u kno what i think, i think the old A8 is too old Audi looking, but yet the new audi A8 is too flashy if u get it in silver. so if i were to get an 8-series Audi, i'd go for the old A8, has always been a favorite car, but never desired to get 1

I'm a new convert to the A8 and just purchased a '04 8L 4.2. I drove BMW 750's for years and loved the car. I bought an '02 745 which the dealer had to take back after a year of not being able to resolve the various software issues. They gave me an '03 which was not a whole lot better.

In comparing the two vehicles, the 745 outperforms the A8 in most categories, acceleration, cornering, etc. However I find the A8 to be a competent, reliable sedan. The ride is a little soft, but when I lower the suspension to dynamic mode it stiffens up pretty good. This is my first Audi (I still have an '04 X5 4.4 and an '01 Z8) and I'm impressed with the car. Too bad the dealer is not nearly as impressive.

I love our 97 A8 but prefer of course the later model 98+ A8 with the tiptronic. I just got to test drive the newer style A8 and love it more for space and all, but still would much prefer an rs6, or S8 if I stuck with Audi. Nothing beats quattro, even though I love BMWs, and own both!
