CV Boots bad, gotta drive the interstate, Dangerous?
My CV Boots are bad and my wheels do the click, click on turns. I need to drive about 3 hours and back. Is this dangerous? Can you lube the bearing to help the situation until getting it fixed?

it should be fine, just replace it when u get back or soon after man. i drove from the bay area to sourthern cali which is about 8 hours each way not including the other the miles drivng around the area. i easily did over 1500 and nothing happened, also i got the go ahead from my uncle who was a mechanic.

I drove with my cv boots torn and clicking to and from school and work for 3 months. 80 mile round trip to school 3x a week. work was 15 miles x 5 days a week. Had no problems, just annoyed by the sound. PS: My sis 99 camery has a bad cv boot too. Im pretty sure it is 8+ months since it has been clicking. She still drives it like it doesnt even have a torn boot.
