Is there any advice for this. I seem to have broken the place piece underneath and that is what keeps catching and keeps ripping the right side of my bumper off. Can that black part be removed? Would it make a difference? And is there any way to get the bumper back on correctly? I have pulled out both of my vents this way and almost pulled off the whole bumper. Please any advise would help.

Re: Keep Getting My Front Bumper Caught on Jetta NEED HELP
wow. that really sucks. yeah, they can be removed, I think, from underneath the car, meaning you don't have to take the whole bumper off to get the front spoiler off. you can usually find them on ebay for not too much cash.

I read your dilema and had to reply. I tore off my front bumper when I parked to close to a concrete parking structure. Instead of replacing the bumper, I had a body shop bolt it back on. I've also had the front black lower fender replaced. I got a good price from automotix.com They have wholesale prices plus shipping. I've ordered from there before. I feel your pain.

Sorry to hear about your delima, but am so glad to hear this happend to someone else. I have torn off both vents and the front bumper is almost ready to come off. Was it expenseive to have the body shop bolt the bumper on? Have you had the problem since?
