Oh, I wish. I had plans to have that car is the 12s, but it was totaled in a car accident before I could do the work on it. Before it was totaled the car was completely stock except for a Centerforce, which I hated, a K&N filter, and NGK Iridium spark plugs. Hardly what I would call mods. For this one I plan to replace the exhaust, GT series turbo, head work, upgraded fuel system, and better cooling just to name a few.

Not many people have. A lot of people know about the LeBaron, but the GTC was rare. This one came with the Turbo II which is a 2.2L I4 with a Garrett T03 intercooled turbo and it redlines at 6,000 - 7,000 RPM.

Yeah, no kidding, except for all the yellow silicone hoses which he only really covered up the stock hoses with rater than really replacing them so I'm tearing all that out and replacing the vacuum lines with black silicone hoses.

Tell me about it. When he sent me pictures and told me the price I told him that he just sold the car. It books at about $1,000 for the loan value.

Nah, the 90 GTC project never got off the ground. I have a lot of parts for it in my basement but I had to sell the 90 GTC to make room for this one.

Pretty much all of the Turbo Dodges and Chrysler used the 8 valve head. Only some of the Chrysler TCs got a DOHC Cosworth head and some cars got the Turbo III with a DOHC Lotus head that liked to snap timing belts. There are some people that swap out the 8 valve head for a DOHC head from a Neon. Don't know how well that works though. All I know is that we make pretty good numbers for being only SOHC.

That is a 1989 Turbo II GTC @ 26PSI bored .020" over. Forward Motion E-2 turbo with .63 exhaust housing. F.M. 3" mandrel bent stainless exhaust system. No cat. Muffler in place of cat. No muffler out back. :o) Slightly ported one-piece intake.

Owner ported head and exhaust manifold, Mack truck intercooler.

He also had a slipping clutch. There are guys that have made up to 500HP on the stock internals, after that the rods have a pesky problem of busting through the block.

Several times in the thread Polygon mentions it's a 2.2L.
