Vafc

Yo guys, here is the question. My good friend has a Apexi VAFC and wants to sell me it for 100 bucks. He is my buddy and is giving me a great deal. My question is....I only have an AEM CAI, nothing else for performance. Would you guys recommend me buying it and installing...buying it and just mounting it and install later when i have more bold-ons....or just not buy it at all. Im aware that big gains are very hard with jsut the VAFC, so could I get any power with just teh VAFC and CAI? Also, where do you guys mount yours (glovebox, center console). Thanks a lot for the help...you guys think I should buy it?

Re: Vafc

well, if you ever have to dyno tune your car, then it'd be a good purchase. to have it just coz it has cool blue lights, eh, you can do without it with those minimal mods. haha. i would say go for it. helps also to keep in that VTEC range when you get on the car with the VTEC control feature.

Ok, Im probably gonna buy it just because its so cheap, I was wondering if I can install it just so I can get the read-outs on it, and install it without fucking with the fuel mixture. I just want it in for now, and once i get some bold-ons then really dyno it. Is that practicle? I planned on geting VAFC later on anyway, so why not pick it up for 100 bucks now and save 200. Thanks for the help.

Re: Vafc

Or you could just buy it and sell it for more..

Re: Vafc

I say buy it now but untill you get it tuned its pretty useless cause droppin the vtec engagement doesnt help as much as you would think. I mounted mine in the glovebox cause its not in view for someone to jack and its harder for your friends to mess with cause if someone messes with it and changes the wrong thing your car can seriously be f***** permanently.
