OK guys update on my previous post. I am the proud owner of a 1996 Lesabre that gradually developed a stumble when in overdrive. I could see the tach jump at around or under 2000 rpm's. It seemed to be worse when the engine was under any load. I replaced plugs, wires, coils, sensors you name it and I replaced it. (all with A/C delco parts) A buddy of mine suggested it could be in the transmission but with only 60,000 miles I thought he was crazy. After I exhausted all my resources I finally broke down and took it to trans shop. The mechanic knew immediately what my problem was. The 4T60E trans has something called a TCC regulator valve that commonly wears out. He had numerous service papers on this matter. So I decided to spend the $300 (most of which was labor to drop the trans) Guess what, fixed the problem. Does not stumble, cough or hesitate! Hope this info can help others out there! If you guys have any questions email me I would be glad to share any info!
