Question Y7 block with Y8 head

I have a D16Y8 with a busted block. I have only been able to find a D16Y7 to replace it. I wanna put my Y8 head on the Y7 block. Will it all fit with no problems? What about matching up with my tranny?

Re: Y7 block with Y8 head

all d series engine parts are iterchangeable so everthgin would match up. for putting the head on a d15 block i know u had to remove this plug that sent oil to the soloinoid or soetuign.so check up on that for the y7 block.
