engine shampoo
a dealer said he could shampoo my engine? i have never heard of such a thing. have you guys? and if so can it in any way hurt my car?

Only thing I can think of is clean the upper manifold. Usually the outside of it, at that. It just makes the engine look better visually, and that doesn't hurt it. BUT I've never heard of 'engine shampoo' so I don't know precisely what this is.

it was a used cars salesman. and he said for 60 buks, hed shampoo everything inside and out. and then he said we'll even shampoo the engine

He prolly saw an engine being steam cleaned once and couldnt remember the proper terminology.
