Silverado Problem

Hello, everyone. I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado K1500, my problem is that I have had this truck in the service dept. for the past two years trying to locate a noise inside the cab. The service dept. has worked on and replaced parts on the truck more than 6 appointments. Still the problem has not been located and I am 3 months away from running out of factory warranty. I don't have faith that the truck will ever be fixed and would like some suggestions on what I should do next. I plan to call general motors, any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Silverado Problem

if the problem was reported and not fixed it should still be covered even after the warrenty runs out, if they give you a problem you can try for the lemon law, ( what kind of noise)

This is correct. If you have an ongoing problem that you've complained about before the warranty runs out and they haven't fixed, the dealer should still honor the warranty for that particular problem.

yea,,,,what kind of noise.
thump thump,
kreeeeeck as you go over a speed bump. (cab mount)
clicking sound as you turn( half shafts)
tick tap knock??? under you ?under the pass side ,behind you under the truck.

If it was me i would check the upper shock mounts and lower since i would be their.
check the bumper mounting bolts,,they do talk when they get loose.
oh,, the bed mounting bolts chattered on my 98 4x4 excabshort box .I had to back them out about 1/2 inch and put thread lock on them and tightened them back up and so far so good.
