Hi, 84.
You won't be getting any responses on this site. There's not much traffic, and even those who do see your post won't trouble themselves to reply.
When you said you've got a 735 motor, which motor is that? The stock motor in my '85 535i is the M30.

Howdy!
I bought my 1985 535i about a month ago, and I paid $1800. Yours is in better shape than mine. After checking some other web sites, I think a realistic final price for your car would be close to $2500.
Don't let that stop you from asking for a lot more; you might find just the customer you need, and I hope you do!

You might want to look into eBay for advertising your Bimmer for sale?

...or Autotrader.com if you've got the time--their run-'till-it-sells deal with up to nine pictures is only $20, so if you're in no hurry, you can ask a lot for it, and also be exposed to a national pool. I sold my '86 528e that way two years ago, and got $3600 (a lot more than most were fetching). Had to wait about six months though.

The paper is probably quickest and most effective by far.
