how to fit a '96 Delco CD-player in '91 Caprice?

Hi,

Maybe someone knows the answer to my problem. I'm trying to put in a Delco CD-player wich came off a '96 Chevy Caprice in my '91 Caprice. The palyer itself is no problem, I've solved how to connect the bolders.
My problem is the connecting of the wires. I just put in the wiring harness that was in my car after I disconnected the radio and stuck in the CD-player. It plays perfect but, the player keeps warm after I turn it off. And when I turn on my headlights the info on the diplay disappears. I heared that I have to cut the dimmer and the powerantenna wire, wich I did, but it the problems remain. I hope someone can help me with this.
