Slipping tranny on 03 GA (37K). I need help!!

I've got a 03 GA SE, and the transmission appears to be shot. I take it in Thursday for the dealer to look at it, but I am JUST out of warranty! Does anyone know of a history of this? Does anyone have experience or a useful contact person to get this taken care of? This is simply not acceptable on a practically new car!! This is my first... and likely last pontiac.
HELP!!!!

I thought mine was shot too. It turned out to be the Catalytic converter, please have that check first.

well, you see, symptoms are signs or certain occurances that could lead one to believe that something is wrong. Usually you can tell exactly what is wrong by identifying the symptoms.....
