Question Starter?

I need to check my starter but am havingtrouble getting to it. I have a 95 200 sx. Do I need to remove something to get to it? My repair manual says there is wheel acces, but I'm not having any luck wih that. Any ideas?

Re: Starter?

I just changed the starter in my 1996 200SX, if it's the same, you'll need to remove a bracket that supports the intake manifold and then the starter is not too bad to access, from the bottom of the car. I suggest you put it on a lift otherwise spend the time to get the car pretty far up into the air or it is pretty hard to do. You'll also need a buddy, because when you put in the new starter you'll have to hold it from underneath the car while your buddy tightens the bolts from above. I don't remember any wheel access.
g'luck
