Re: McLaren for Le Mans 2004

u never ask for the top speed or any other kind of performance specification of a race car. for example u can gear the car to go 230mph, but making the gears tall would affect the acceleration. the point is race cars dont have solid specifications.

at Le Mans in 1999 the fastest CLR-LM had a trap speed of 349 km/h (216.4 mph). could it have gone faster?....its very likely if the chicanes werent there.

there is a movie of one clk flipping and then, at a height of about 5 meters, flying into some threes, very cool:-)
there's also a video of a porsche gt1 flipping, on an alms event

Re: McLaren for Le Mans 2004

the clk-lm did not flip. this is always confused but trust me i am right. the clk gtr raced in 1997, crap in le mans, and did well in the fia gt championship, 1998, the clk lm, crap in le mans again but won the fia championship easily. the clr did not compete in the fia championship and flipped in 1999 at over 200mph due to a aerodynamic fault. In other words the clk lm was the best out the 3
