1995 Sunfire Factory Antenna

My factory antenna end, that plugs into the stereo, fell off, and i cannot get it back on. So what i am wondering is, the rest of the antenna is perfect, do i have to replace the whole antenna right from my trunk all the way to the dash?? Or is there some kind of connector half way thru my car, where i can buy an extension and go from there. If there is a connector point in the car, does anyone know the where abouts of it?
