Re: How much new fuel pump cost 97 gtp

Well, I had to replace the fuel pump on my '97 GTP and it was $258 USD plus labor, and that was me getting it at dealership cost because my dad used to work there.

Well if you get it AC/DELCO american would be the $258.00. IF you get a Mexican or Canadian Version could be around $175. If you want send a note to [email protected] with your VIN and requesting a quote. Usually I get decently priced OEM parts there

check gmpartsdirect.com i get almost any gm replacement part from there for half off others list prices, so you'll looking for around $200-250 as opposed to 500, and you can install it yourself, just make sure you get new o-rings or don't break the old ones.

fuel pump resistor kit $37.99 plus shipping

If your GP is idling for a few seconds and then dying, it could very well be the fuel pump resistor which is located somewhere behind the car battery. Visit http://www.clubgp.com/cgi-asp/mods.asp?modid=9 for more info and instructions on how to bypass the resistor to see if that is your problem. If so, you can buy a kit for $37.99 at pfyc.com for an easy fix and no need for a new pump!
