Fiberglass dash

i just need to know what to use as the base for my fiberglass dash..i have the tigers hair and fiberglass resin...i just need to know what to make the initial shape of the dash out of...i was thinkin about cardboard but i wasnt sure...maybe u guys can help me out if anyone has done this kind of work before...thanx

are u talking about making a brand new type of design for ur dash, if so styrofoam is the way to go cuz u can shape it before laying the fiberglass over it.

If you are basing it off ur stock dash which i think is a better idea cover it in tape and/or and mold over that

ah didnt think of that...but im also planing on keeping the stock base and just build offa that with some styrofoam
