If you wanted a sports car -- you bought the wrong car----- but.......keep the oil changed, and keep up on the preventive maintenance and this car will run forever. Oh----- and if you ever get run into or you run into somebody else, or end up upside-down, just be glad what you're driving. The best thing you could do is sell this car to someone that will appreciate what they have before you ruin it trying to make it do something it was never designed to do. If nothing else, you'll be happier.

I wish I knew some performence things but...try and look into more boost. Also go to www.ipd.com they have a volvo performence section on their website. They have performence camshafts and exhaust, and that should give u a head start....yeah sooo... GOOD LUCK!

One of the quickest ways to get more horsepower is to do a port and polish. My brother did that to my '89 240 DL and it gave it a lot more get up and go. My 4 banger can now beat a V-6, I have done it before. I beat '91 chevy Beretta and it was imbarssing to him. That's the one of the not necessarially easiest upgrades but is one of the cheapest. It works very well.
