soft brakes on my 88f350 2whl

My brakes on my truck have been getting real soft as of late, still work, but I have to pump them to really get them to engage, thoughts on what is starting to fail?

master cylinder?

booster?

I've blead the system just to see if a air pocket was at large, but no such luck, with the pumping of the brakes to get them to contact, would that indicate the booster going bad or the o-rings in the master bleeding though?

any ideas would be appreciated before I go to replace the master and the booster.

Re: soft brakes on my 88f350 2whl

if the pedal is still easy to push, I would say the booster is ok. I would run headlong into changing the master though. I had a similar problem on a 93 e350 cube about a month back, changed the master, and everything is happy as larry now. good luck
