87 bmw hood

Hi I am building a bmw race car, will the hood off an 89 bmw fit the 87 the two modles are the same?

Assuming you are talking about the 3 series, it should fit. I think in '88 they updated the front bumper and airdam and rear fascia, but everything above the front bumper was unchanged. You may be able to find more info at www.bavauto.com, e.g. type in your car, look up replacement parts, and see if the e30 hood applies to all years or if it splits at 1987-1988. Have fun racing.

Yes it will fit fine, all the BMW e30 3-series cars have the same style hoods. 316,318,320,323,325 are all the same with the hood, but the bumpers and air dams did change for model years LATE 88 - early 92.
