what are the best mods for under $1000?

I was wondering what would be the best thing to do to my car for more power, for a beginner? I have a 1998 Accord V6 Automatic. I have a little under $1000 to spend, just need some advice from the pros.

the basics mans! intake, header, exhaust (catback). Or u can go pulleys or cams or msd or nos. The best thing do to IMO is to let ur engine breathe! so go for intake, header, exhaust. you will save gas and gain power.

don't forget to improve handling such as, lowering springs, front strut bar, brake rotors/pads, shocks/struts, and tires.

Your car will drive better and be safer.

Yeah, I already got tokico struts, neuspeed springs and konig rims for lowered looks. Then I got K&N intake and Megan dual tip for performance. Just got about $800 bux coming to me, wondering what I should do next. I want some HP gains w/o going overboard for turbo nor supercharger. I also wants some face lift with a body kit.. but that's stretching my wallet...

Lower it first. You'll get the most noticeable change in appearance and performance (handling atleast). For under $1000 you could get Tein Basic coil-overs or pair up some lowering springs and performance struts.
