No Spark

Hi I have a honda civic dx and I did an engine swap with a vtech b16a engine and sent the wiring harness out to be converted. Everything went good with the swap, now when I go to start the engine it won't fire and there is no spark to the sparkplug, I replaced the distributor with a new one and still the same thing. what could be the problem with the spark, and what should I do to check where the problem might be. I am sure once I get spark to the plugs it will start. Any suggestions will help.

make sure you put back the ground wires after the swap. then check ignitor and sparkplug wires.

Re: No Spark

it's in the distributor along with the coil, but then again you replaced it. Check for blown fuses.

Ok thanks , I will check all the fuses and hopefully that is the problem. Ohterwise I will have to take it to a dealer or someone that knows about hondas, and thats what I am trying to avoid, because of the cost.

Re: No Spark

Not sure if the distributor is the same but I had the same problem in my stock 91 dx hatchback and it turned out to be the ignition modual. I also repleced the ignition coil which is also inside the distributor. Rebuilding one isn't very hard at all, but it was kind of expensive since I also replaced the distributor. But hey! Runs great now...
