NEED HELP Replacing Aftermarket Foglight Lens.
I got aftermarket foglights about a year ago on eBay. They seem to work fine...but not long after I installed them, both lens cracked/shattered. I dont think its from rocks, I think the bulbs that came with the foglights are the wrong bulbs (too much wattage). So the extreme temp. change prob caused the crack. Does anyone know where I can get just the replacement lens by itself...like a custom cut glass. Id rather not get the same type of glass though, or else that will just crack again. I was thinkin maybe fiberglass, or to change the bulbs as well. Also, does that Stonguard protection tape work at all?
Any help is appreciated, thanks. |

Well...
...that would be easier if I knew the exact part #. I got them cheap on eBay, so I wouldnt want to get a whole new set. The lens are even cheaper, and less work, so I figured Id look for replacement lens. And if I get a whole new foglight set, I have to uninstall and install again, and they might just crack again as well. Thats why I wanna replace the bulbs and the lens'...then see if that fixes the problem. Thanks for your help though.
Also...does any1 know the right wattage for foglight bulbs (2002 Honda Civic). And hopefully they arent a pain in the ass to replace either. |
