new hatch

yeah, quick question. which model hatchback is best to buy concerning lighter weight and what not. I'm planning on doing a gsr swap, and i want something newer then a 97 but not brand new. I'm planning on spending 7000-8000 on the car itself. thanks

Re: new hatch

Best HB is the 88-91. Lightest and is probably the most nimble. If you want something newer than a 97, well you only have one choice then, the 96-00 hatch so what does it really matter? And yes, it is possible to get a GSR motor into any hatch 88-00.

Re: new hatch

i mean EVERYTHING. You'll have to ask them what year the motors are. Shouldn't matter unless you have emissions laws where you live.

i believe so, but you might wanna replace the bushings with urethane ones while the motor is out.

its easier to swap a gsr (b18c1) then a h22. you can use your stock harness with some wiring mods too.
