ACDELCO Parts
I dont know much about the specifics of how the tahoe works but I have been told that the spark plugs and wires should be ACDELCO because the computer will have errors if I dont. They also said that all parts replaced should be ACDELCO. I find this hard to believe that spark plugs and wires realy matter beyond a quality brand. does any one know the true answer? If so, what have you used?

For GM vehicles AC Delco, or Delphi, parts are recommended. But it doesn't matter what parts you use. For spark plugs I would recommend using AC Delco or NGK. But you can use Bosch, Autolites, Champions, whatever brand you want. I'm using Delco platinums and Beldon wires from NAPA in my truck. I used to run the Bosch +4 plats, but I get better performance out of the Delcos.

Re: ACDELCO Parts
My other vehcile is a 2001 GM (OBDII), and I am running NGK tr55 plugs, and Magnacore spark plug wires. It is a performance vehicle, and I am running an aftermarket torque converter, rearend gears, and flexplate, plus a transgo shift kit.
The vehicle runs excellently, absolutley no problems. In most cases, the aftermarket exceeds the GM parts. JMHO |
