^ i agree. Dont buy either. Those hp/liter ratios on the cougar were terrible. Around 50/L is one of the worst I've seen in a 90's car. Terrible Terrible things. Never buy a Mercury, EVER.
The Tiburon is getting better, but I bet you could find a better used japanese car for a similar price. Look for a nice MK2 Mitsubishi Eclipse, or maybe a Nissan 240sx, or a Prelude, or an integra. Im a strong believer that you should only buy Japanese or preferably European cars, and maybe the occasional American, just not a Mercury. Probably the bottom of all American auto sub-companies.
