Squeaky Megane II Sport

I got a Megane II Sport 1.4 last summer and from the first moment I observed two problems:

a squeaky sun roof and
squeaky brakes (only at low speed) - Renault said thats because new brakes do not contain amiante (asbestos) any more.
...Whatever the reason are still very annoying.

am I the only one with these problems??
any good idea how to bypass them??

Squeaky brakes, steering and noisy sunroofs are par for the course with Megane lls. Not to mention water ingress, electrical failures (key cards, central locking, you name it) fuel pump failures on dCi engines, sheering bolts on engine mounts, front strut failures, steering column problems. I suggest that you pop Parkers Forum into Google and look at the "Ownership Ordeals" Forum. It's virtually all Renault and a lot of it Megane! Laguna ll is pretty bad too!

There could be a cure for the squeaky brakes once the "Green Stuff" pads for Meg ll come onto the market.
