Air Filter Cleaning
How long do yall feel you should go between cleaning your airfilter. K&N, Amsol, or otherwise.
I know that it says 50,000 miles on the instructions, and I know that its different for different climates but how often do yall do it? Thanks Brantley

Re: Air Filter Cleaning
When I remember to. Went WAY too long last time, had a thin layer of mud on parts of it. You could barely get any light through it when held up to one of those 300W halogen indoor torchiere lights:

Things like that which are cheap and easy to replace I tend to do more often than scheduled. I went to Moab with a fresh filter, and will probably replace it a few weeks after, (unless it's really clean). Fresh air in your engine is a good thing.
![]() I also changed my oil before I left and when I got back (left the filter in though). It's about 2.2k there and back, but also includes heavy offroading. |
