Question 86 323...Save or Trash?

I've had the car for a little over a year. It's been a nice ride until this past winter when I started to notice when I put it into drive, it's a slight delay in shifting. When I'm driving for a bit, it goes away until I stop at a light. Anyway, I took it to get inspected and the shop said my brake hoses was leaking, I need new lower ball joints, and new wheel cylinders.
The guy at the shop went on to say, the car wouldn't be worth it to fix. In the meantime I have a 626 I can drive, but I want to mess around and try to fix my 323 up. Would the work needed be difficult to do? Also, anyone know where the fuse for the horn is located? I can not find a manual in town.

if you have a shuck's or a similar parts store they can order the Chilton manual for the mazda 323 or the 84-89 mazda manual. I happen to have two parts cars if yu are really wanting to keep your ould 323... i have a 88 sedan, and a almost running 86 hatchback.
