Need help with tail lights please

hi, im new to this forum, but i was reading alot of the messages that are put out, and alot of the people really know what they are talking about!
well i just bought an old taurus. 94. its working fine but the tail lights aren't working. I've checked the fuses and the bulbs. neither have a problem. all other lights work except the tail lights. I was reading about this "Boo" switch? i was wondering if this had anything to do with it? i really dont know what to do and i dont want to take it in to a mechanic that will charge more than the car is worth.

If the brake lights come on when the pedal is pressed the BOO switch should be okay. Make sure that the bulbs are all good. They could be just burned out. Check the wiring connectors for the tail lights for corrosion. Check the simple stuff first.
