In Progress: Tyrrell P34
Hey all,
I've been working on the Tamiya 1/20 Tyrrell P34 1977 Monaco Grand Prix car and took these pics a few weeks ago. Might get it finished by next weekend as I've already progressed alot since then. Whaddayathink?? Here goes: Cya Marcel |

Looks pretty good to me already. You definately chose a better blue than I did (about 10 years ago)...
This is how my model looks like. The blue color is way off, but I still have the 1/12 Tyrrell AND the 1/20 1977 version, so I have 2 more chances to get it right... ![]() My second attempt (1/32 Matchbox model) is a lot closer to the real thing I guess : ![]() Please keep us posted! I am looking forward to your project! |

wow.. looks great so far. What color are you using for the blue? I used some weird color like chrysler engine blue for my P34. Keep us posted!
P.S. do you also post on RSC?

Hi Tim
Thanks guys, the blue I used is Tamiya's TS-15. Now I see those pics I also have a question (@Sennake); how did you do those tire markings on the first pic? On my Wolf WR-1 I used a small silver ballpoint pen to do only the outlines but now the font wheels are way too small to use that technique again. Did you just paint it with white? Marcel |

Well, finished the model saturday and had some time to take pics. It came out really nice, maybe my best model so far. Anywayz, here ya go:
2 of the car without the seat and cowling: Main display view with cowling removed: Front and rear view of the model: And the final 2 pics from both sides: Hope you like 'em ![]() Cya Marcel P.S.: I ended up "painting" the tire markings with Tamiya XF-2 with a toothpick. It was a pain to get that done but well worth it.
