92 Aerostar odometer

I have just aquired a 92 Aerostar XL plain jane but not bad shape. I was told by the prev. owner that it has around 150,000klm's, however the odometer reads "error" does anyone know what this means and what I have to do to fix it?

no, it probably just has gone so many miles it lost count. ours is on 307,000. FORD ROCKS. they know how to make a friggin machine to last.

Page 82 of the 1992 Aerostar Owner's guide says: "If the word ERROR is displayed where your odometer is, your odometer has a circuit problem. Go to the service department of your dealer to have your odometer checked."

Had the same problem, aswell as some other weird things showing up on the digital displays. If I remember right it was just a few days before my van died completely, according to the mechanic the computer died.
