Very easy actually, you dont have to remove the dash, just have to get back behind the radio in that small are and remove a couple small bolts. I found that a ratchet with extensions and an angle bit works best.

Re: honda accord 1991

Did you already buy the CD player? If not alot of shops offer free installs if you buy the Cd player from them, I found that was the easy way for me, but again someone stole mine and there was nothing left so they had to rewire all the speakers and all that...BUT IT WAS FREE

eh, if you don't get a free install (I've never heard of this but apparently it exists).....then, basically you need to remove the center console (that is the part around the shifter/e-brake), then the ash tray... then you'll find several phillips heads, and I believe one 10mm bolt. AFter those are all free, you'll be able to remove the radio and the empty tray below it as one piece. Replace with dash kit and install radio in dash kit.

SKILLS too, besides the first time you do anything you're not going to be that great at it, so that leads into experience....

Gotta give a plug to Crutchfield. If you buy your electronics from them they supply GREAT instructions (and an adaptor pigtail) free. Their phone support is terriffic too.

This is true, but their prices suck!

What do you mean, on a 91 accord all you have to do is remove the black housing around the gauges and ashtray, and behind the AC vents. those are the tricky ones! Your cruz control pops out your AC and Hazard button pops out and your dimmer pops out, there are screws behind these and then the black plastic that wraps around the guages ac cd player and ashtray comes out....let me know if you have any questions just did it a week ago to put indiglows in my 92 wagon!

Re: honda accord 1991

No! You don't have to take all that off to replace the radio!
