Difference b/w f22 headers?

What is the difference b/w all the headers for f22s? 90-93 EX uses a different header than a 90-93 dx, lx, se.... and the same thing w/ 94-97 accords. Why do the EX models have a different header than the dx, lx, se models? Is the exhaust ports different??? is the lengths different? What is it!?!? Also if i were to get a 94 ex motor into my 90 ex... which header do i buy? for 94 or 90? help me out guys. thanx!

The DX LX models come with an exhaust manifold, not really considered a header. While the EX models have stock 4-2-1 header.

Re: Difference b/w f22 headers?

i thought header is a "cooler" way of saying exhaust manifold.

i can understand maybe i guess why 94+ EX models have a different header cuz of vtec i suppose but what about 90-93 EX models. The EX models in those years didnt come with vtec. Supposedly the only thing that is different b/w EX models compared to the rest is the intake manifold or a better flowing exhaust manifold

Re: Difference b/w f22 headers?

exhaust maifolds and headers are like the same thing there 2 types of it. exhaust manifold are made of made of cast iron and can stand up to very hot tempuratures and fast temp changes you can tell cuz it has 4 ports going into the same pipe and out the exhaust and Steel tubing exhaust maifolds are also known as headers they have the 4-2-1 deal and have long cross section made of steal pipe. so there basicly like the same thing. oh to help out ur question i think you should get the 94 headers so you know they fit the 94 engine and if it doesnt fit the exhaust u can prolly modify the exhuast pipes. better than having headers that dont fit .eh thats my opinion on ur question hope it helps.
