Just curious...
Alright, since gas prices are soring like a bitch again, I was wondering what the exact fuel capacity is for the 95 accord....I'm pretty sure it's 17 gal. but everytime I fill up when on "E", I seem to only max out at 14 some gals everytime. That normal?....can anyone relate?

Re: Just curious...
I don't know for sure, but 17 gallons sounds about right. As far as it having 3 gallons still in when it's on E is entirely possible. I have taken mine at least 26 miles after the warning light came on. That is at least another gallon, so to have 3 gallons still in the tank when you are on E is probably normal. The idea being to give you plenty of warning to fill up again, before you end up stranded on the side of the road.

I believe it is 3 gallons when the orange light goes on......otherwise people would be breaking down a lot :P

yes, on empty gauge there's still some fuel left.
Waiting for the fuel light to come on before refilling is not recommended, since the dirt/debris settle down in the gas tank, you will be sucking them up when fuel is almost gone, bad for injectors
