New stereo intstall, Sunbird

I have a 91 Sunbird. I bought a new sony stereo and decided to try installing it myself. I'm alittle confused, the factory stereo is connected to a metal box, (and so is the casette deck, which is a separate piece). Im not sure if im supposed to connect the new stereo into this box though the wires connected to it or connect it to the wires and eliminate the box. Im not sure, im lost, this car is difficult.

Re: New stereo intstall, Sunbird

I figured it out, theres a standard GM plug (its on the right side of the main radio module box, and the plug is blue in colour) just match up the colours and it works perfect.
