Re: wut engine should he use?
Here's your answer:
What plans does he have for the car? Until he knows what he wants to do with it, there is no "best" motor. The motor selection will depend on what he wants to do with the car. Once he knows that, he can make an engine choice from there. Just to make things easier, these motors will readily fit in the car with the correct B-series parts - B16A2/3 B16B B18B1 B18C1 B18C5 B20Z

Re: wut engine should he use?
That depends on what I want to do. I already have a B16A3, so I don't need to pick another motor unless I have big plans. I'm partial to the stable setup of the B16 and great r/s ratio. However it lacks displacement and torque. What I do with my car from here will depend on what I want to do with it, not because everyone says "get a Type-R motor" or "throw a turbo on it".
The question remains: what does he want to do with his car? Boost? N/A? 300hp? 13-second 1/4 times? Race-only car? Streetable daily driver? The motor he selects depends on what his ultimate goal is. I repeat - there is no "best" motor or setup. Everything is different depending on the application he wants. Ask what his plans are for the car, and then get back to me.

Re: wut engine should he use?
Yeah fork is right for the most part...
I'm a fan of the B16A myself and here's why: 1.74 rod to stroke ratio (keep on revvin, she don't care) TONS of parts available in junkyards and aftermarket It is lighter it's boost friendly on stock setup (5-9 psi max) simple layout and design of the motor (no secondary runners, no butterfly valves on intake mani they make more power per liter than the b18 bulit proof bottom end anything you like about the b18 (other than displacement) you can bolt onto the b16 OH YEAH!! The B16 is the cheapest DOHC VTEC motor you can buy! (money saved can be put toward mods )

Re: wut engine should he use?
Right on.
I'll most likely keep my B16 and work with that platform for any future modifications on my car. I'm keeping it a daily driver and I already have the motor so I really don't see the need to swap.Besides, I already am developing a secret plan of my own which will be using the B16 I have.

Re: wut engine should he use?
5-9 on an LS motor sure, but i wouldnt reccomend even putting a turbo on a stock b16, the boost you have to run isnt worth the money you invest in it..but thast just my 2 cents.... my b16a2 is turbo but ive built it
