mysterious starting problem

my girlfriend has a 2000 accord v6 and recently there has been a srange problem. the car won't start when it is really humid or raining. i had an old camry that had the same problem and i found out that it was the ignition coil. but the accord has a dis ignition system so i have no idea what to look for.
has anyone had any similar problems or suggestions on where to look?

Re: mysterious starting problem

by all the mods on your car, i'm guessing you checked the positive battery cable?

my wifes intrepid had the same problem with her car and i changed everything.... plugs, wires, battery, etc.. and finally (after a co-worker mentioned he had the same problem) changed the positive battery cable and it fixed it. never had any problems with it after that.

good luck.

Re: mysterious starting problem

I would check battery cables, grounds (eng. & chassis) and starter connection first. I've also heard a bit about the main relay causing this symptom. Do a search and see if you come up w/ anything. I just don't remember where I saw it or I'd lead the way! Hope it helps.
