Unhappy '00 Century Door lock problem

The problem I have is the door lock problem. The doors would unlock without problems with both remote and the power door lock button inside the car, but the doors won't lock with the remote nor the power door lock button. It's like the power door lock button is dead. No response what so ever... No tick, no nothing, but I know the power door lock button isn't dead because the light dims immediately when I use the button. And also the courtesy chime rings when I open my door and push the power door lock button.

I had this problem before, but some combination of turning the ignition key, power door lock button, shift and breaks fixed the problem before.

But now I read thru my owner's manual and tried different delayed locking feature and power door locks, but nothing seems to work.

Any suggestions?

Oh! and thanks to those helpful people who answered some others' question about the harsh transmission up/down shift problem. I have that same problem time to time as well. I should take my century to a dealer and ask them to replace my PCS it seems.

That would be me (with the harsh transmission). I still have not gotten mine fixed due to shortages in the auto repair fund, but if you get yours fixed before me, let me know how it went and if the PCS was the culprit. There must be quite a few of us out here with the same problem.
