HOW to put a model in a display case onto a wall?

I´m thinking about putting all my models into separate display cases and then hang those onto a wall. The problem is that I can´t figure out a way to make those modells stick to the display case floor so that they don´t fall when I put the modell onto the wall eventually. I don´t want to put a screw into the chassis of the modell.

Please advise or give me some hints to solve this!

What? Are you talking about the display cases falling down? If so, Use a shelf?

How about a small piece of double sided tape under each wheel?

How about drilling a small hole in one side of the clear display cover that a nail, hook, etc. can fit through, but be sure not to crack the clear plastic cover. Next because it is on display crazy glue the black base to the cover so it never comes open. Now you just hook it on the was like a picture. Done a buddy of mines like this and it looks great in his rec. room.

If by crazy glue you mean Super Glue or CA that is a bad idea, as the glue gases out it will fog all the windows on the model as well as make all the fingerprints thtat might be there permanent.
If you actually read the post he is trying to figure out how to keep the model from sliding all over - not how to hang it on the wall

OOOH, I thought he was looking for something else. Curious how do you know there will be gas that would fog the windows. I never thought about that.

Thats just the nature of CA, Law Enforcememnt Agencies have used a similar method to reveal finger prints for years. And I think it was not too long ago that someone here on the board glued a bunch of pieces on a model to complete it ( used CA ) and put it in a display case and set it on the shelf only to return to a disaster the next day.

The best thing, I would think, would be that double sided foam tape 3M makes. It is very strong, but easily removable. Alternatly, if you want a classier solution that won't lift the wheels 1mm off the case floor would be to use a hook. Either form your own or get some small wire hooks that are bent 90 degrees (not a C shaped hook). Drill holes in the floor inboard of the lowest point on each wheel (or two of them). Then put the hook through the hole, with the 90 bend pointing out, and hook the wheels under them. This may take some finagling, but it's doable, and the best would be to use minature threaded rod and nuts, so you can tighten the hooks down and hold the car in place tightly. This won't require any modification of the model, and if you paint the hooks flat black, they will be invisible.

drill a hole in the bottom of the display case. Run a length of wire through the hole...around the axle of the model and back through another hole drilled in the bottom of the case.

I have a few "Johnny Lightening" display cases that have a few holes for just this reason in the base.

Won´t work, tried it, not really sticky enough. I really need something working. I don´t want to repair my babies every week, because they re falling of the case floor.

That sounds like a great idea. I will give that a shot. Thanks a lot. If that doesn´t work, I´ll go with the axle solution.
