That looks really nasty. I hope the inside of my 3.2 doesn't look that bad (but it probably looks worse!)
So, when cleaning the EGR, is the end of the tube you show the correct place to spray the cleaner? Or does one need to pull the EGR off and spray there? Or both? Any good photos of what the EGR port under the valve looks like? Thanks! JWS '99 Rodeo LSE 4x4 |

OK.
I had seen the photo of the valve in one of your other posts. Got one of the intake manifold from where this valve came? JWS |

Re: EGR Port pictures, 2nd gen:
Looks like the EGR one, One big hole and one small hole. The small hole leads to the EGR port.

OK I have a 97 and im trying to do the same thing. I have used a small straw-like tube to thread what I think is the passage that needs to be cleaned. Check out the picture. Is this the right passage or are there any more that need o be checked and cleaned. I also took a pic of the egr pintle

Re: EGR Port pictures, 2nd gen:
If I can attached the pic, this shows the outlet end of my EGR tube before I cleaned it out. It was completely plugged with carbon. Once cleaned, no more knocks.
