I have a 92 gsr with a totaled body but engine is very strong with 98,000 original miles. I am looking for some input on what body would be the most enexpensive and give me the most performace. any help would be much appreciated.

Re: 92 gsr powertrain in what?
Drop it in a CRX or a Civic hatch. They weigh next to nothing.

Re: 92 gsr powertrain in what?
Thanks IS there any specific year I need to look for to make the swap less enexpensive. will the electronics just plug in or will I need to purchase some sort of kit. Also will I be able to use my tranny( because it is already built a bit). I also plan on adding a jackson supercharger, to go along with my intake, header, and exhaust(when able to do so). Do you have an estimate on what the job would cost?

Re: 92 gsr powertrain in what?
I say trash the JRSC and go turbo, much much better performance for the money.

Re: 92 gsr powertrain in what?
you're gonna want the ecu for a 92 teg gsr and I assume you're asking about the tranny that was on the gsr engine then yes you can use it... best thing to do is call a couple of shops and get some estimates... and like whtteg said forget the JRSC, if you really want to supercharge it use someone better then JR (garbage), personally I'd also say turbo it.

Re: 92 gsr powertrain in what?
oh yeah and if you are going go the F/I route you might also consider doing a build up, 98,000 miles is alot to be stuffing 8lbs of boost in...

Re: 92 gsr powertrain in what?
I agree with the turbo, It costs about the same, give or take a little. The only supercharger i like is the Vortech supercharger with aftercooler. It has been shown to add 117 HP to a civic SI. The jackson only adds like 60 or so. Either way you can't beat a turbo.
