Hey everyone,
Couple of quick questions. I've got an 89 Chev 2500 4x4. My baby. I've recently installed a transmission oil cooler on it. It's not that big and I think with heavy towing the tranny is still getting a tad warm. I have it mounted directly to the front of the rad. Should I move it out so there is some space between it and the rad?? Like an air gap? Second question. To keep an eye on the tranny, I want to install an autometer trans temp guage. Has anyone done this? Is there an inspection port on the tranny I can use for the temp sensor, or should I tee into the oil line coming from the tranny to the cooler? Any special parts I will need other than the guage and the sensor? Oh, the tranny is a 3 speed automatic. I can't remember off hand which tranny it is. It's late and I need some zzzzzz's ![]() Any help or suggestions appreciated.
